Duties: Two opthalmologists hired me to start up and manage an optical shop in accordance with their practice. My duties included setting up the layout for the optical and lab. I carefully researched the purchasing of all equipment, tools, related surfacing labs, frame companies, etc. I managed two other employees, filed, computerized sales, frame purchasing, inventory, filed some insurance, and all other aspects of opticianry. In addition to years of optical experience, I also was skilled in finishing lab work, complete fabrication of eyewear start to finish. One of my most important goals is that the patient is completely satisfied with their eyewear and eyecare.
